Content Types
The kinds of content Canvas adds to the WordPress admin. Some hold what a visitor reads, such as Portfolio projects and Events; the rest hold pieces of the site itself, such as a header, a footer or a popup.
CopyrightsThe copyright bar that sits under the footer. It is a separate item so you can change the small print without touching the footer.EventsAn Event. Each event carries its own dates, times, venue and ticket link, and the Events blocks list them and build the single event page.FootersA footer. Build the footer layout here, then set it site wide in the theme options or override it on a single page.FormsA form. Build the fields here, set what happens on submit, then place the form on a page with the form embed block.HeadersA header. Build the header layout here from the header blocks, then set it site wide or override it on a single page.HeroesA hero section: the tall opening section of a page. Build it once here and place it at the top of any page.Mega MenusThe contents of a mega menu panel. Build the panel here, then attach it to a menu item so that item opens it instead of a plain submenu.Page TitlesA page title area: the strip that carries the heading, the subtitle, the breadcrumbs and the background at the top of a page. Build it once, then choose it on any page.PopupsA popup: a dialog that opens on a trigger you choose, such as a delay, a scroll depth or a click.PortfolioA Portfolio project. Each project is one post with its own images, client details and layout, and the Portfolio blocks list them.Side PanelsA side panel: the drawer that slides in from the edge of the screen. Build it once here, then place it anywhere with the slider block. The individual frames are Slides.Top BarsThe narrow bar above a header, for contact details, social links or a promotion. It is separate from the header so one bar can serve several headers.
