Page Title

The page-title / hero bar. Drop a heading, subtitle, and breadcrumbs inside; choose alignment, a background image, parallax, and a dark scheme. It is shown in the block inserter as Page Title and registered as canvas-core/page-title.

Select the block on a page and its own settings open in the sidebar, in the panels below:

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

  When on, this page title reads each page's own settings (background, dark, alignment, template) from the Page Title meta box / post meta instead of the fixed values below. Used by the "Page Title" template part so one part serves every page while style stays per-page (settable via the meta box or wp-cli).

  Extend the background up behind the site header so the hero sits under a transparent header. Only applies with an image, pattern, parallax, or video background.

  Optional MP4 video used as an autoplaying, muted, looping background. Takes precedence over a background image.
