Event Location

Displays the event venue name and address with an optional Google Maps link and location icon. Only renders on canvas_event post type. It is shown in the block inserter as Event Location and registered as canvas-core/event-location.

Select the block on a page and its own settings open in the sidebar, in the panels below:

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

  • Show AddressDefaultOn

    Shows the full street address under the venue name. Turn it off where the venue name is enough.

  • Show Map LinkDefaultOn

    Links the address to Google Maps. Requires an address to be set.

  • Show IconDefaultOn

    Shows a small map pin icon in front of the location.
