Event Navigation

Renders previous and next event navigation links with configurable labels and optional thumbnails. Only renders on canvas_event post type. It is shown in the block inserter as Event Navigation and registered as canvas-core/event-navigation.

Select the block on a page and its own settings open in the sidebar, in the panels below:

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

Countdown

    Adds a small live timer under the event title in the bar.

  • Counts Down ToDefaultEmpty

    Leave empty to count down to the event's own start date and time. A partial date (2027 or 2027-06) counts down to the start of that year or month.

  • Countdown FormatDefaultdHM

    Which units the timer counts. Y is years, O months, W weeks, D days, H hours, M minutes and S seconds. A letter written in lower case shows its unit only while it has something to say.

    Reads as one sentence with the timer, e.g. "3 days 4 hours to go."
