Page Title Heading

Renders the page / post title as a heading. Supports dynamic (context) and static (literal) source modes. It is shown in the block inserter as Page Title Heading and registered as canvas-core/page-title-heading.

Select the block on a page and its own settings open in the sidebar, in the panels below:

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

    Where the heading text comes from. Dynamic takes the title of whatever is being viewed, so one template serves every page; Static uses the wording you type below.

  • Heading PrefixDefaultEmpty

    Written immediately before the heading text, inside the heading.

  • Prefix ClassesDefaultEmpty

    Classes on that prefix alone, so it can be quieter or lighter than the heading it sits in front of.

    Displayed when Source is set to Static.

    Shown when Title Source is "Static (custom text)"

  • HTML TagDefaultH1

    Heading level this title takes in the page outline. Keep H1 unless the page already has one elsewhere.
