Quotes

Blockquote with default border, icon quote, and speech bubble styles. Supports reverse alignment, citation footer, and optional border/icon color overrides. It is shown in the block inserter as Canvas Quote and registered as canvas-core/quote.

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

  The words being quoted. Basic formatting such as emphasis and a link is allowed.

  Classes on the citation element, replacing the default blockquote-footer treatment.

• Bare Citation ElementDefaultOff

  On: the citation renders with no class attribute at all, a plain Name, the way a pull-quote in an article is written. Overrides Citation Classes.

Style

• Reverse (Right-Aligned)DefaultOff

  Right border and right-aligned text.

  Custom left (or right when reversed) border color. Default style only.

  Size of the large quotation mark. Leave empty for the size the theme sets.

  Colour of the large quotation mark. Leave empty for the theme colour.
