Post Date

The record's publication date on its own, for a byline the meta list cannot draw. It is shown in the block inserter as Post Date and registered as canvas-core/post-date.

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

    PHP date format. Empty uses the site setting.

  • ElementDefaultTime (machine readable)

    Element the date is written into. Time also publishes the exact date for search engines and assistive technology; the others are plain text containers.

    Wraps the date in a link. A dateline in a card usually links; one in a byline usually does not.

    Classes on the link wrapped around the date, for an underline or a colour the surrounding style does not give it.
