Post Read More

Renders a read more link or button pointing to the current post permalink. It is shown in the block inserter as Post Read More and registered as canvas-core/post-read-more.

Select the block on a page and its own settings open in the sidebar, in the panels below:

Settings

Each setting is named exactly as the block editor names it, followed by what it does and what it starts as. Where a setting carries a Shown when line, it stays hidden until that condition is met, which is the usual reason a setting looks missing from the sidebar:

    Wording of the link that opens the full post.

  • Link ClassesDefaultEmpty

    Replaces the default read-more class on the link. Leave empty to keep it.

  • Icon ClassesDefaultEmpty

    Icon classes for a glyph after the link text. Leave empty for no icon.

  • Icon (legacy, unused)DefaultEmpty

    Kept for backward compatibility with previously saved content. The read-more link has no icon variant.

    Whether it reads as plain text or is drawn as a button. A button carries more weight at the end of a card.
