Page Title

Configure the page title banner displayed below the header on every page.

These settings apply to the whole site, so a change here is visible on every page that uses the feature. Find them under Canvas > Theme Options, in the Page Title tab.

The tab sits in the rail on the left of the screen, with its own panel beside it:

General

This group holds the following settings:

  • Enable Page TitleDefaultOn

    Show the page title banner below the header on all pages. Can be overridden per-page via post meta.

    Category, tag, author and date archives. Turn off when the archive template draws its own header inside the content.

    Fill behind the page title band. A tone slightly off your page background is enough to mark the band as a separate strip.

    Recommended minimum width: 1400 px.

    Style declarations applied to the background image layer, for example height: 120%; top: -15%; to oversize and shift a photograph so the interesting part lands inside the band. A single page can override this from its own Page Title settings.

  • Image OverlayDefaultEmpty

    Colour or gradient painted over the background image so light text stays legible. Leave empty for no overlay. The per-page Image Overlay overrides this.

    Overrides the default text colour. Leave empty to inherit.

    Space above and below the title inside the band, which is what sets how tall the band is. Written as a length such as 40px or 3rem.

    Extra classes on the page-title section: the colour scheme and vertical rhythm the design uses. Space separated. The per-page Section Classes override this.

    Where the background video comes from. Upload picks a file from your media library, while URL points at a file hosted elsewhere and keeps it off your own hosting.
